WhiteHat SEO is technically a one man operation – and that’s me, Mike Coughlin. I have amazing contractors that I bring in to work on certain projects but the core search engine marketing services are personally taken care of by me. However, before any contractors join a project, they will sign an NDA and be approved by you.

I have been involved in different areas of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) for over 7 years. I’ve worked on huge multi million dollar brands, small bay area startups, and everything in between. WhiteHat SEO runs campaigns for SEO (organic search), Local SEO, and Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO).

Simply put, I will drive relevant traffic to your site and help you to increase conversion of that traffic to more sales.

I hold a degree in business but my passion has always been technology, specifically the promotion of online properties. After a few years in the corporate world (while freelancing SEO/SEM on the side) I decided to start taking on clients full time.

Having only used “White Hat” techniques in my experience with SEO, I launched WhiteHat SEO in 2008. WhiteHat SEO operates out of San Francisco (SOMA) with clients nationwide.
